Hello and welcome to Side by Side - Wish List for children with special needs.

Parenting a child with special needs is challenging. It requires extra effort in time, awareness, and education. It also can cause stress, tension, financial burdens and feelings of helplessness. At SIDE BY SIDE, we are helping parents to find understanding, acceptance and build friendship, to gain emotional strength and to improve parenting skills.

We do that through support groups, in which parents receive emotional support, enjoy some break time, and share their feelings with those facing similar experiences. We also conduct conferences as well as seminars in which parents can gather information they can use as their children move from one phase of development to another.

All of our staff members are volunteers. All of our Board members are parent of children with ether special needs or medical challenges.
