HOPE worldwide Bay Area Chapter

HOPE worldwide Bay Area is committed to serving our community through targeted, strategic volunteerism. We want to be part of the solution.

HOPE worldwide, Ltd.,(HWW) is an international 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to mobilize volunteers, respond to disaster, and empower communities. Founded in 1991, HWW’s early leaders were inspired by Matthew 25 to serve anyone in need. Since then, the international focus of the organization has expanded to provide hope to vulnerable communities around the world including work with healthcare, education and poverty amelioration. Currently HWW serves more than 1.5 million people annually on every continent.

In the United States, HWW sponsors more than 110 Chapters in 40 states and Puerto Rico. The three primary functions of a local chapter are to serve our neighbors who are materially poor or in need, inspire others and fundraising. Each chapter has the opportunity to operate local programs that reflect the unique needs of their community with the guidance, resources and administrative and technical support from the HOPE worldwide staff. Local chapters are led and driven by volunteers including the Chapter Director and Advisory Committee. It is the job of the latter to identify needs and mobilize volunteers to serve in the community.

HWWBA hopes to build a volunteer pool of individuals who want to serve the poor and activate the event of a disaster. By putting our faith into action and living out the gospel in a hurting world, we hope to make a practical and spiritual impact in our community.
