OAR NOVA is a local non-profit restorative justice organization providing human services since 1971.

OAR NOVA offers a wide range of services including those for first-time offenders, those in jail, and those released from incarceration.  Family members are also offered help through our programs.  The following is a brief summary of what we offer:

* Alternative sentencing
* Emergency assistance
* Impact of Crime classes
* Job-readiness skills and tools
* Shoplifting Prevention Program
* Skills Development
* Violence Intervention

Each year over 100 OAR volunteers serve our community.  These dedicated and highly trained citizens help to implement and sustain OAR programs.  Volunteers teach, provide one-to-one mentoring, counsel family members in crisis, assist with client services in the main office and help guide OAR's mission as members of the Board of Directors.  As representatives of the community they are vocal advocates for OAR's mission.  For more information about volunteering, please send an email to: info@oarnova.org or call (703) 246-3033.
