Hi, I’m Pickle! I’m a tiny and sweet lil’ girl who has had a really rough start in life. I was found in the middle of nowhere after someone dumped me and left me to fend for myself. I’m only 5 lbs and 3 months old so survival was tough but I made it. A good Samaritan brought me to a Northern California animal shelter but it was crowded and noisy and they kept telling me I didn’t have…much time. See, the thing is, because no one has ever really taken care of me, I developed a skin condition called mange and an upper respiratory infection and unfortunately the shelter didn’t have the resources to provide me with all the care I need. Thankfully for me a nice lady at the shelter sent an email out to the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe to see if they would give me a chance. Well, it must have been my lucky day because they said they had a foster just perfect for me! I arrived in Truckee the next day. Now please follow me along my journey to recovery. It may be a long road but with your support, encouragement well wishes and of course treats, I’ll be able to make it through.
