At the beginning of last year, as I was preparing for the Antarctica expedition, I decided to sign up for my first triathlon. Many of you thought that it was a crazy idea and it was, indeed, since I didn’t know how to swim. However, as I struggled to prepare for it, fighting through my negative thoughts and pure laziness, I have learned that determination pays off. With Tahoe Donner Triathlon Olympic distance behind me, I can now say for sure that if I could do it, you can too.
To keep a momentum going and inspired by all the people i saw at midnight on the finish line of Ironman in Kona, which i had a privilege to attend, I decided to challenge myself and signed up for Ironman 70.3 in Austin, Texas on October 26, 2014.
Your support last year made a HUGE difference and helped me to push that much harder during training and during the competition. Today I am asking you to support my efforts again, but in a different way. I will not ask you to donate any particular amount to a charity of my choice. I am asking you to purchase items of your choice for a charity that has wishlists on Gooddler platform.
It is really easy to do:
- Go to www.gooddler.com
- Pick a wishlist that appeals to you (there are a few to choose from)
- Purchase item(s) from the list(s)
All transactions are secure and most of them are Tax Deductible.
Any purchase would be highly appreciated by me and charities that you decide to support. And you never know, you just might receive a letter from me in 2015 asking for your support in preparation for Ironman 140.6.
