When families have experienced homelessness and have gone through the shelter program, they usually don't have many personal belongings, especially furniture.  Many families are living in very small and completely empty apartments.  

Overcoming extreme hardship, reaching success through Compass programs and finally getting a home of your own is an amazing accomplishment.  

Making it Home is the final touch for a job well-done!  

Making it Home volunteers assess the new space and focus on each family member and their needs; a desk for a young student, if additional lighting is needed, a place where the family can enjoy their meals together, and everyone in the household must have a compfortable bed for rest.  

By providing much-needed furniture and household items, Making it Home transforms an apartment or house into a home for Compass families exiting homelessness.
