Grandma's House of Hope

Since Grandma's House of Hope’s founding in 2004, Grandma’s House of Hope’s mission is to empower the invisible populations of Orange County. Grandma’s House of Hope offers much more than shelter. Our welcoming homes nurture hope, our case managers promote growth, our counseling partners facilitate healing, and our housing navigators guide our participants toward stability. Our goal is for our participants to graduate to permanent housing as stronger, more confident, and autonomous individuals through these holistic resources.

We have over 10 warm welcoming homes that specialize in emergency, transitional, and bridge housing for adults. Our unique program allows participants a longer stay so they have time to heal and meet their financial, mental and physical health goals—ultimately leading to stable permanent housing.

We offer emergency, bridge/interim and healing housing to ~300 people annually. GHH is dedicated to serving the most marginalized, traumatized, uniquely challenged and deeply impoverished individuals throughout OC. 80-90% of our participants are survivors of crime or other trauma. Two-thirds have disabling conditions. One-third are older adults. One-quarter are coming to us directly from jail/prison. Nearly half have no income whatsoever. Our goal is to provide them with housing with trauma-informed services to support their healing, safety, employment, skill-building, financial self-sufficiency and transition into permanent housing. Over 19 years, we have housed and supported more than 3,500 people.

Give a gift of HOPE. We rely on donations from caring people like you to power this critical work.
